A Four Seasons Baltimore fall wedding: Emily + Matt
The Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore // Baltimore wedding photographer // Baltimore wedding photography

One of my favorite stories from Emily + Matt’s beautiful Four Seasons Baltimore fall wedding involves the groom and a humble bowtie. Matt really wanted to wear a bowtie for his big day. And he really, really wanted to tie it himself. So he sent himself to bowtie boot camp, devoting time each week to practicing the bowtie and taking tips from his future father-in-law. When the time came, he tied that tie like a pro! Emily + Matt enjoyed a beautiful day full of silver sparkle and towering white florals. The pair exchanged vows and rings under a chuppah of floating candles, strings of crystals and gigantic white calla lilies. There was an adorable flowergirl in teeny, tiny formalware and gold Mary Janes (who sweetly swiped the watches and bracelets of all the women in the room at one point to entertain herself while waiting on grandparents for family photos!). There were jokes during toasts about the improbability of this sports-loving couple marrying in a black-tie ballroom affair as opposed to a stadium of some sort. And there was a rousing hora and an incredible dance party thanks to one of the best bands in the Baltimore-DC area. We even ended the night’s photography, at Matt’s request, with an expertly styled UN-tied bowtie to mark the end of the party! Here are many of my favorites from Emily + Matt’s Four Seasons Baltimore fall wedding:

It was obvious that Emily and her mother have a very special relationship. It was a pleasure to document all these little looks and moments between them.   The bride, looking lovely.   Emily + Matt chose to see each other before the ceremony for photos. They also decided that they wanted to remain indoors for all of the photos.  Some efficient family photos!  She’s got an ARMFUL of bracelets and watches!  When the sun went down, it was time to get Emily + Matt married with the signing of the ketubah, the Jewish marriage contract. I love this next pair of photos so much.  A few ceremony details.   And then it was time to head down the aisle in front of all of their guests.   Married!   A few details from cocktail hour.   Meanwhile, the Grand Ballroom was set for the party with towering white florals and more silver sparkle.  The band, Millennium, welcomed guests into the ballroom with a rousing dance set and did not let up all night!   A first dance.  A wild hora!   A trio of toasts.  And lots and lots of fun and frivolity!   Many, many congratulations, Emily + Matt! It was such a pleasure to work with you, your families and your friends!
