It was such a pleasure to photograph the intimate little wedding of Tracey + Charles in the beautiful gardens of Chase Court followed by their laugh-filled brunch at Gertrude’s at the Baltimore Museum of Art. I really can’t believe the luck we had this summer with weather that did not at all feel like, you know, Baltimore summer. Such was the case for Tracey and Charles’ big day. The couple exchanged vows and rings on the last Saturday of August, surrounded by just 32 of their closest friends and family members. Then, we were off to a personal favorite — Gertrude’s at the BMA — for a photos in the Sculpture Garden and a brunch that included guests’ choice of a quartet of amazing-looking desserts. I could not resist staying a little past my contracted time to photograph the beautiful and emotional toasts from the couple’s fathers and friends. I was rewarded with the opportunity to make some beautiful photos full of happy tears and joy. Tracey has such a beautiful smile when she laughs that she was a particular joy to photograph. I also enjoyed an opportunity to talk shop for a few minutes with Charles’ father, who once worked as a White House photographer and shooter for other government departments as well.
