As has been the case for much of this spring, the forecast for Catherine + Sergey’s wedding day was not great. There was a significant chance of rain. It had been raining for most of the week. And they were supposed to exchange vows at the beautiful Irvine Nature Center in an open field, preceded by a long walk through the woods on dirt paths. In other words, there was a significant chance of rain and mud and more rain. Instead, we had a magnificent day. Even the sprinkles that began just minutes before the ceremony seemed to evaporate into thin air. Significant rain didn’t fall until much later, when everyone was safely tucked away in the reception tent. As I work on Catherine + Sergey’s full collection of photographs, I couldn’t resist sharing a few favorites as a sneak peek for the newlyweds. There are many, many more photos to come. Enjoy!
