Shannon & Josh — The Valley Country Club — Baltimore wedding photography

I had been look forward to Shannon & Josh’s wedding since we spent an afternoon together last fall running around one of their favorite parks with their pup for their engagement session at Patterson Park. Shannon has such an expressive face that she is a joy to photograph. And Josh, well, it’s so easy to see how much he loves Shannon. They truly make a marvelous couple. We lucked out with a great day — even the rain that fell arrived at the exact moment when we were planning to be shooting on the big porch at the always-lovely Valley Country Club. Add to that a beautifully emotional ketubah signing ceremony, a late-night serenade from the groom to his wife and a crazy dance party and you can tell just from the photos what a fun wedding this was. Since I’m still trying to get caught up blogging my wonderful summer weddings, I’m going to let the photos do the rest of the talking. Here are some of my favorites from Shannon & Josh’s wonderful day. Enjoy!

It was such a delight to photograph Shannon and Josh seeing each other on their wedding day for the first time. Her reaction and the looks on their faces are just marvelous!

I loved these moss and flower creations from Amy at Crimson & Clover Floral Designs. So lovely!

Theirs was one of my favorite ketubah signings. Despite the cacophony of guests and wedding preparations and the like going on around them, Shannon and Josh and their families and witnesses blocked it all out and just savored the signing of the wedding contract that rendered them officially married under Jewish custom.

And then it was time for the wedding ceremony with all of their guests!

Shannon mouthed, ‘I love you’ to Josh as she made her way toward him down the aisle.

This next photo was shot by my assistant, Lucas.

A few beautiful reception details. And yes, my love affair with mercury glass continues!

Time to celebrate!

The previously mentioned serenade. Although Josh is arguably the biggest Phish fan on the planet, he went classic Marvin Gaye with his wonderful rendition of ‘Let’s Get It On’ for Shannon.

Congratulations, Shannon & Josh. It was an absolute joy to work with you and your families!
