Baby Charlotte – Baltimore family photography

I recently had the pleasure of photographing my third session with little Charlotte and her parents, Kate of Kate Beck Events and her husband, Chris. I had so much fun with them on previous occasions — first, when Charlotte was still in her mama’s belly and later when she was just 12 days old — that I knew this shoot would be no different. Now 10-months-old, Charlotte is such a happy little girl. She’s a speed-demon crawler, loves to hold herself up on things, sticks out her tongue on command and apparently enjoys digging her fingers in dirt. It was such a joy to chase her around the beautiful garden at the American Visionary Arts Museum — what a fun spot for a photo session! — and Federal Hill Park. We scheduled the shoot for an early morning, hoping to avoid the heat. But it was one of those hottest of hot days in Baltimore. You can tell from the serious flush on Charlotte’s chubby little cheeks at the end of our session.

Here are a few of my favorites from our morning together:

Kate dressed her darling girl in the sweetest little pink sundress. Surrounded by green in the garden, she looked like a little slice of watermelon!

I love love this one. Don’t you just want to pinch those cheeks?

Such a beautiful family! I feel lucky to call them not only clients now but also friends.

Kate and her baby, looking happy and beautiful together.

Thanks to Chris for the sneaky holding of Charlotte here, making a darling photo of her peeking out of the sculpture.

I had to include this photo of Kate fixing her hair in the mirrored, mosaic wall of the museum. Too fun!

Kate, Chris and Charlotte, it was so much fun to photograph your sweet family again. I can’t wait until our next shoot and all the fun of choosing images for Charlotte’s first-year album!
