Baby Brendan – Baltimore baby photography

There is almost nothing I enjoy more than meeting clients, photographing their wedding and then getting a phone call or e-mail from them a few years later asking to schedule a family portrait session with their new baby. It is such an honor and a joy to have my clients call on me, again and again, to document such wonderful and happy occasions in their lives.

Such was the case with Chrissie and Kevin, whose beautiful wedding I photographed two years ago in Philadelphia. I was thrilled when Chrissie e-mailed me a few months ago to inquire about portrait sessions for her impending arrival. I was oh so excited to meet little Brendan when he was just 12 days old. (As I explain to my clients, newborn portraits are best shot within a week or two of a baby’s arrival. After that, they tend to start enjoying all the new space they have and are less willing to curl up in those sweet little newborn snug positions.) Brendan was just perfect, as both a baby and a photo subject.

Here are a few of my favorites from our morning together:

I have never seen a brand-new baby who had so many distinctly different facial expressions — and while sleeping, no less!

Oh, his parents are in trouble. This little face will be hard to say no to.

Teeny, tiny baby fingers.

So. Sad.

I love these next two of Chrissie and her boy.

Look how little Brendan — and remember he’s only 12 days old here — is craning his neck to see his mama.

Kevin seems pretty smitten with his son as well…

What a perfect little family.

Love love this look between them.

Congratulations, Chrissie & Kevin. I couldn’t be happier for the two of you and your new little one!
