Kara sent a big box of surprises to Jason’s suite for him to open as he got ready the afternoon of their wedding.
Upstairs, it was time for Kara to step into her wedding gown.
Everyone who spotted Kara for the first time in her wedding attire made faces like these. Truly, she was stunning.
Jason’s nervous excitement as he waited to see Kara for the first time that day was palpable.
After a few outdoor portraits of the couple and their wedding party, we dashed inside to escape the approaching rain and to shoot family photos.
Then, it was time to sign the ketubah, the Jewish marriage contract.
And after the veiling of Kara, it was time for the public ceremony that would be witnessed by all their family and friends.
I love this next image that my assistant Andrew caught of Kara + Jason as they circled each other in a modern twist on the Jewish wedding custom.
A rousing Hora kicked off the evening’s dancing.
Jason’s parents were honored with a krenzel dance to celebrate the marriage of their last child.
And there was lots of fun and frivolity as the outstanding band Milan 77 kept the party going until the very end.
Many, many congratulations, Kara + Jason. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you, your friends and your families.
